Our Vision

Over 260 children and youth have been killed in Chicago in the last three school years. This is unacceptable. Urban Dolorosa is a multicultural ecumenical movement committed to ending this violence.

Our Vision is to bring together the diverse communities of Chicago,

To memorialize children killed by violence,
To care for families and youth traumatized by violence,
To promote peace-making through sacred music and the arts,
To awaken the religious communities and civic leaders of our city,
To address the root causes of youth violence.
